From the self-released debut How We Lost The War EP in 2002 to the posthumous split 12” with San Francisco’s Young Offenders on 625, plus a live version “Young Shavers” recorded live on WFMU in 2005. All songs remastered in 2018 by Jack Control at Enormous Door Mastering. The compilation will be available as a limited-edition cassette and CD on the band’s own Mistake label. Online orders will be accompanied by a 24-page zine of photos, flyers, and reminiscences by the band members.

Giant Haystacks formed in 2001 with Scottish immigrant Allan McNaughton on guitar and vocals, Daniel Sofaer on bass and vocals, and Nate Daly on drums. Alan Kasameyer replaced Sofaer in 2005.

They released two albums (We Are Being Observed, Smartguy, 2004 and Blunt Instrument, Mistake, 2005), three EPs, four split EPs, a cassette, and several CDr releases (some of which came with zines the band made). The release of “This Is All There Is” marks the 11-year anniversary of their final show on April 27, 2007.

“Scottish anti-pop; the wreckage left when Franz Ferdinand's new Bentley collides with Dawson's Transit. For anyone following the new Scottish gentry, meet the bastard disinherited ancestry.” – IS THIS MUSIC?

“Mixing the unstoppable flop motion of early Burma with the vocal angularity of mid-period minutemen, this SF trio turns guns into butter with the best of 'em.” - Thurston Moore & Byron Coley, ARTHUR

“Like being up all night with a pile of early JAM 7"s and a bootleg video of THE MINUTEMEN.” – Layla Gibbon, MAXIMUMROCKNROLL
